Accessibility

Our commitment to accessible service. Placeholder statement for a demonstration site.

Our commitment

We aim to provide notarization and commissioning in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities, in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Ways we can help

Online video appointments make service available without travel; mobile appointments can bring a commissioner to you where offered; and we can accommodate requests for additional time or support. Accommodation details would appear here in a live service.

Feedback

In a live service you would be able to tell us about any barrier you experienced and how we can improve. Contact details would appear here.

Standards we aim for

We aim to meet the accessibility requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards, and to align our website with WCAG 2.1 Level AA where reasonably practicable.

Accessible customer service

We would serve people with disabilities in a way that respects dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity, and welcome support persons and service animals where applicable. Documents and information could be provided in accessible formats on request.

Assistive technology & accommodation

Online appointments work with common assistive technologies, and we would accommodate requests such as additional time, a quieter session, or alternative arrangements. Tell us what you need when booking.

Training

In a live service, staff and commissioners would be trained on accessible service and on the AODA requirements relevant to their roles.
