Ontario: commissioning online, province-wide.
Eligible oaths, affirmations, affidavits and statutory declarations may be commissioned by real-time two-way audio/video when identity, the modified jurat, precautions and session-record requirements are met. Certified true copies, applying a notarial seal and authenticating signatures/documents for international use route to in-person notarial service.

- Remote commissioning, not notarization. In Ontario your document is commissioned remotely under O. Reg. 431/20. This is not the same as a notarial act. Certified copies and sealed notarial certificates are completed in person.
- The receiving organization decides acceptance. Courts, lenders, government offices and other institutions may set their own requirements for remotely commissioned documents. Confirm with them if you are unsure — we never guarantee acceptance.
- Session record. As required by Ontario's remote commissioning rules, we keep a record of the session including the identification method used, the date and time, and the location of each participant.
